Limes bei Holzheim

Lackprofile

Für das Römerkastell Saalburg wird, in Kooperation mit dem Hessischen Landesamt für Umwelt und Geologie (HLUG), ein Lackprofil (Kastenprofil) vom Limes bei Holzheim hergestellt. Das Kastenprofil dürfte eines der größten, in einem Stück entnommenen Kastenprofile sein. Mit einer Breite von 60 cm und einer Höhe von 260 cm war es eine logistische Herausforderung und ein Kraftakt. Das Kastenprofil wog bei der Entnahme zwischen 350 und 400 kg.
Zudem wurde am gleichen Standort ein “kleineres” Kastenprofil (30 x 260 cm) für die Universität Tübingen entnommen.
